Online strategy and implementation
Belconnen Soccer Club is a licenced venue which supports many community and sporting organisations, with 2 venues, restaurants and function facilities.
The Belconnen Soccer Club requires a new website to better match our corporate style, ability for staff to maintain the website content and promote our in-club events to members and non-members. Due to legislative requirements, members only promotions must not be promoted outside the club, therefore we require a secure “members only” website and email database for promotions.
The project over 2 years has developed a new website for the club and implemented many online strategies, with MailChimp a big part of the on-going internet marketing. In phase 1, 101 Web Technology developed a modern website in WordPress, with online booking, members only area and newsletter system. Phase 2 we developed an online strategy, which moved the newsletter functionality to MailChimp for improved correspondence and reliability with email delivery and measurable engagement.
The Belconnen Soccer Club members newsletter continues to be a source of new business to the club with a 25% open rate, less then 5% bounce and un-subsribe rate, the introduction of targeted campaigns to segments of the list has seen the greatest engagement with increases of 200% in website traffic during the promotion.
